Portfolio Award Information
Who may enter
Qualifying students must be a Spring 2023 graduate of any Sangamon County, or surrounding community, high school. Students do not need to be pursuing a career/education in the arts to qualify. Limited to one (1) entry per student.
What may be entered
Portfolios must consist of three (3) to four (4) pieces of original artwork. The artwork can be of any size, medium, subject matter, 2-D, or 3-D. Mediums may be mixed within the portfolio. To be considered, students must submit a completed entry form by the deadline and physically deliver their portfolio before judging begins (details below).
When and where to enter
The entry period for the 2023 SOCAF Senior Portfolio Contest has ended. Check back here for the winners after the fair!
Judging Timeline
Thursday, May 18th, 4 pm to 7 pm – Portfolio drop off time at the Hoogland Center
Friday, May 19th, 2:30 pm to 4 pm – Portfolio drop off time at the Hoogland Center
Friday, May 19th, 4 pm – Doors Close, judging begins
Friday, May 19th, 5:30 pm (estimated) – Judging ends
Friday, May 19th, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm – Student Portfolio Pickup
Saturday, May 20th, Morning – Awards presented at the Art Fair Opening Ceremony
Neither SOCAF or the Hoogland Center are responsible for any unclaimed artwork.
Prizes & Award
A total of six (6) awards, at $600 each, will be presented at the Springfield Old Capitol Art Fair Opening Ceremony on the morning of Saturday, May 20th.
